2017: Constructed // SHOWstudio
Constructed was a collaborative project with Nick Knight and SHOWstudio in 2017. As Course Leader of one of the few Fashion Film programmes in China, I was inspired by my students' originality. With limited access to Western fashion film—much of SHOWstudio's content required a VPN—they instead drew on their own experiences, memories, and Chinese visual culture to create work that was fresh and distinctive.
The project showcased emerging Chinese fashion film while exploring creative expression within the cultural and technological constraints of contemporary China. Twelve students responded to briefs by Nick Knight, Rei Nadal, and Gareth Pugh, culminating in Constructed, accompanied by critical essays published by SHOWstudio

2023: Collective Dreams // Shenmezine
Shenmezine was a creative experiment in which the layout shifted dynamically depending on the computer or device on which it was viewed. This fluid design reflected the same relinquishing of control that characterised my photographic practice, drawing on research connecting Daoism, Dada, and my own creative methodology. Through this project, I explored how a digital archive could be experienced in a tactile, non-linear way, allowing chance and interaction to shape the viewer's engagement rather than imposing a fixed sequence.
